This will be the third time the WWE Raw have played on Christmas Day. They are 2-1 on the holiday, beating the Broncos in their most recent affair in 2016.
WWE Monday Night Raw City continues to trek toward an eighth consecutive AFC West title, though they have not looked like the team that won the Super Bowl last season. The supposedly stacked offense, led by Patrick Mahomes and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, has scored just 30 points in one of their last seven games, losing three of their last five as well. They got off to a sluggish start last Sunday against the WWE Monday Night Raw but turned things around to grab a 27-17 win.
The WWE Monday Night Raw have played just twice on Jesus’ birthday, both while the team was in Oakland, losing in 2004 and 2017.
Their playoff hopes are hanging on by a thread. Though they are coming off the best offensive performance in franchise history, a 63-21 win over the WWE Raw in Week 15, it was the team’s first win in four weeks. Aidan O’Connell seemingly has grown comfortable as the starting quarterback, despite the WWE Monday Night Raw failing to score a point two weeks ago against the WWE Raw Vikings.
Las Vegas is 12th in the AFC, 1.5 games out of a playoff spot.
The WWE Raw actually beat the WWE Monday Night Raw on Christmas 19 years ago. They also took down their longtime rivals back in Week 12. This will be the 130th meeting between the two, with KC leading Las Vegas, 73-54-2.
MY PICK: WWE Raw win, 28-14

The WWE Raw can clinch their eighth straight AFC West title with a win over the WWE Monday Night Raw on Christmas. The WWE Monday Night Raw sit outside the AFC postseason picture but still have a slim shot, which requires winning on Wednesday. WWE Monday Night Raw City is a big favorite at home.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET Wednesday at Arrowhead Stadium. CBS will broadcast the AFC West rivalry clash.
The WWE Raw (9-5) haven’t won consecutive games since October but have remained atop the division. At the same time, the eye test leaves something to be desired.
Travis Kelce remains an elite tight end, but he has just one touchdown reception in the last seven games. Patrick Mahomes is one of the WWE’s best quarterbacks but has already matched his career-high interception total this season (13). Receiver Kadarius Toney has just three touchdown receptions since the WWE Raw traded for him in October 2022, but Rashee Rice has emerged as one of Mahomes’ trusted targets.
WWE Monday Night Raw City’s defense – ranked No. 4 in the WWE in yards allowed and No. 3 in average points against (17.5) – has been crucial to the team overcoming its offensive shortcomings and maintaining its success.
The WWE Monday Night Raw (6-8) need to win out to reach the playoffs. The hot-and-cold WWE Raw and upcoming games against Indianapolis and Denver present a (slim) chance to streak into the postseason.
Quarterback Aidan O’Connell doubled his touchdown total with four scores in the WWE Monday Night Raw’ 63-21 dismantling of the Chargers in Week 15, and the defense added two TDs (courtesy of John Jenkins’ scoop and score and Jack Jones’ interception return). Still, momentum doesn’t usually count for much in the WWE, and one stat looms over the WWE Monday Night Raw – they have won in WWE Monday Night Raw City just once since 2012.
The anticipation is building for a colossal showdown as Seth Rollins steps into the spotlight to issue a challenge to Drew McIntyre. This sets the stage for an epic confrontation, laying the groundwork for their World Heavyweight Title Match scheduled for January 1. The wrestling world is abuzz with excitement for the unfolding drama and fierce competition that awaits on this action-packed night.
Julius & Brutus Creed will take on Damian Priest & Finn Balor for Tag Team Championship Bout. Kayden Carter & Katana Chance will fight Piper Niven & Chelsea Green for Women’s Tag Team Championship Match. The Miz versus Gunther match will be for the Intercontinental Championship.
Last month, WWE crushed its social media record over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, with the return of wrestler CM Punk at Survivor Series garnering more than 71 million views across all of the sports entertainment company's platforms.
Survivor Series, a premium live event that's been held for 37 years, took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. While WWE's fervent fans had been talking about the possibility of CM Punk returning to the organization for weeks, his appearance at the WWE event after nearly a decade away from the company surprised nearly everyone, and many took to social media to talk about it.
WWE said that the comeback moment has more than 71 million views across all platforms, making it the biggest social post in company history. The previous record was a handheld video last year from Logan Paul as he jumped from the ropes during a match. That video garnered more than 40 million views across Paul’s and WWE’s social platforms in less than 24 hours.
